      Story Synopsis: Having regenerated in order to recover from the Toxoemia, the new Doctor starts acting erratically, nearly strangling Peri and then deciding to become a hermit. He also changes clothes, exhibiting an amazing lack of sartorial taste.

      Story Synopsis: The Doctor and Peri answer a distress call which brings them to the Earth of 1986, shortly prior to the Doctor destroying Mondas, the original home of the Cybermen. The Cybermen have stolen a time machine and are intent on stopping the destruction of Mondas. The Doctor is surprised to find that the mercenary Lytton is on Earth and apparently in league with the Cybermen.

      Story Synopsis: The Doctor and Peri visit the mining planet of Varos, in order to pick up some Zyton-7, a rare compound needed by the TARDIS. The inhabitants of Varos enjoy watching criminals being publically tortured and executed, and punish unpopular decisions by direct pain control of the Governor. The Doctor discovers that Sil, a small and obnoxious reptile from Galatron who is supposed to be negotiating a trading arrangement with the Governor, is in fact plotting to take over Varos to gain total control of the Zyton-7 supply.

      Story Synopsis: The Doctor and Jamie are sent by the Time Lords to visit a scientific Think Tank in deep space they helped establish to protest about the dangerous time travel experiments being carried out there. It turns out to be a trap and the Doctor is caught. Later the (other) Doctor and Peri arrive to investigate the disappearance of the Doctor and Jamie, and are re-united with Jamie. Their investigations lead them to Earth where the Sontarans are backing a megalomanic scientist's dangerous experiments into time travel and genetic engineering.

      Story Synopsis: The Doctor and Peri are startled to a see the image of a girl fly through the TARDIS console room. They discover a time tunnel, and trace it back to the planet Karfel, where they find that a cruel tyrant, the Borad, throws his opponents into the time tunnel. The Doctor is forced by the Borad to retrieve the girl Vena, who fell into the time tunnel with a vital amulet, and finds that the far end of the tunnel is in 19th century Scotland! Bringing back Herbert, a young man holidaying in Scotland who enters the TARDIS accidentally, and Vena, the Doctor must return to Karfel to defeat the Borad, who is revealed to be a weird mutant!

      Story Synopsis: The Doctor and Peri arrive on Necros to attend the funeral of an old friend of the Doctor who has recently died. However, Tranquil Repose is not all it seems and an attempt is made on the Doctor's life. Soon the Doctor comes face to face with the Great Healer, only to discover it is none other than Davros, the creator of the Daleks, intent on rebuilding the Dalek race decimated by the Movellans.

      Story Synopsis: The Doctor and Mel are on board an interstellar cruise liner when mysterious deaths and disappearances start occurring. The Doctor investigates and soon becomes suspicious of some scientists who are returning from an expedition with some very unusual plant life. When the Master speaks to the court from within the Matrix, it becomes obvious that much of the evidence thus far presented may be false. The Master claims that the Doctor has been framed by the timelords and that the Valeyard is merely a product of the Doctors darker side. The Valeyard flees into the Matrix and the Doctor pursues him into the dangerous fantasy world the Valeyard has created within.
