| Quentin rebuffs Petofi entering his locked room, but relents when Jamison knocks and is very nice to him, Quentin leaves the room before September 10 is ended. Beth opens the poison bottle to pour into a glass for herself. Jamison convinces her to not take her life since he loves her. Jamison confronts Quentin, interrupting Quentin and Angelique. Jamison tells Quentin about Beth trying to poison herself. Jamison rejects Quentin saying he hates him. Beth knocks before the stroke of midnight. She pulls a pistol on Quentin. | |
