    Katy Wood is a supervising sound editor originally from New Zealand, whose career in film and television sound has spanned over two decades and encompassed work across the United States, New Zealand, Australia, and the United Kingdom. She holds a Master's degree in Film and Television specialising in sound from the Australian Film Television and Radio School. She has shared her expertise by teaching sound post-production in Australia, Mexico, the U.S., and Chile. Over her extensive career, Katy Wood has contributed to a wide array of major feature films. Early in her career, she worked as an assistant sound editor and foley editor on The Lord of the Rings trilogy—The Fellowship of the Ring (2001), The Two Towers (2002), and The Return of the King (2003). She later served as a dialogue or ADR editor on critically acclaimed and high-profile films such as Get Smart (2008), Gran Torino (2008), True Grit (2010), The Rum Diary (2011), Prisoners (2013), The Last Witch Hunter (2015), and Sicario: Day of the Soldado (2018). As her career advanced, Wood took on supervising sound editor roles in major studio productions, including Marvel and DC features. Her credits include A Wrinkle in Time (2018), Ant‑Man and the Wasp (2018), Just Mercy (2019), Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) (2020), Finding 'Ohana (2021), Shang‑Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021), Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), The Art of Rebellion (2023), and The Marvels (2023). Her work has earned industry recognition: she, along with Addison Teague, Tom Johnson, and Juan Peralta, received a nomination from the Hollywood Post Alliance for Outstanding Sound in a Feature Film for Ant‑Man and the Wasp (2018).
