Both the anamorphic and letterbox renderings, matted at 1.78:1, exhibit superb picture quality with rich and vibrant colors with natural fleshtones and deep, solid blacks. In the component anamorphic mode, color definition and saturation is first rate as is sharpness and detail. The Dolby® Digital 5.1 discrete soundtrack is the original theatrical six-track printmaster which features sound effects in the split surrounds. While the Dolby Digital sound character is slightly thin and edgy, the overall haunting character of the sound design is sure to please.
