Here?ÇÖs a very rare stock copy of the very rare recording of ?Ç£Sister Morphine,?Ç¥ produced by Faithfull?ÇÖs then-boyfriend Mick Jagger and featuring various Rolling Stones?Çôas well as Ry Cooder and Jack Nitzsche?Çôon backup. Accounts of the chronology differ, but some insist that this was the first recording of ?Ç£Sister Morphine,?Ç¥ and that the Stones version, which appeared on their 1971 Sticky Fingers album, was recorded later. In any case, there is general agreement that although the track credits Jagger-Richards as the songwriters, the lyrics were actually penned by Marianne herself, and Jagger wrote the music.
